In 2004, our mom died of cancer after a hard fought battle.  After her death we became depressed and gained weight.  We turned to fitness in our grief and slowly we lost weight and became fit.  We decided then and there that we were going to do all we could to stay fit and live a healthy lifestyle.  Two days after our 41st birthday we registered to ride in the 2008 Ride to Conquer Cancer™ benefiting The Princess Margaret. In honour of her incredible strength, we decided to do something epic to fight cancer. So we registered for The Ride to Conquer Cancer™ benefiting The Princess Margaret. It’s a 200km ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls and thousands of riders of all abilities participated.  After that ride in June 2008, our passion for fitness soared and it became embedded in our lifestyle.
